What Does Christian Mean?

When you hear the word Christian, what do you think of? Is it someone who faithfully attends church, prays, and reads there Bible? 

I would certainly hope so. But anyone can pray, read a Bible, and attend church faithfully. Being a Christian is more than what we do on Sundays it’s how we live every day. 

It’s seen in the way we talk, the way we walk, and the way we treat others.

The word Christian means “Christ-like”. If we a truly saved by his grace, our lives should reflect Him. People should see a difference in us not because we are trying to be noticed, but because Christ is working in us. 

As Christians, we are called to stand out, not blend in. We should be a light in a dark world, showing love, truth, and grace of Jesus Christ in our daily lives. This includes our sins. After we are saved, we become more conscious of the things we do wrong than we were before salvation. The Holy Spirit convicts us and helps us grow to be more like Christ. All I’m saying is people tend to take the word Christian a little too lightly. We need to stop and examine what that word truly means. Calling ourselves Christian Is more than a title it’s a testimony of who we belong to and how we represent Christ to the world.

If someone watched my life this week, Would they see Christ in me?

That ye may be Blameless And harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.

Trauma? We always talk about Trauma. But have actually and I mean actually gone through Trauma ? I mean Jesus literally had 9 inch nails in his hands and feet he was whipped he’s flesh peeling from his body he went through it all and for what?? Why does faith come to a dead end?

 Why does faith come to a dead end ? We all wonder why our faith sometimes fizzles out. But why do we let it happen? We go to church and feel that wonderful pull— the urge to as God to forgive us, to draw closer to Him. We attend regularly… and then one service, something comes up. We don’t go. Then it becomes,” I’ll go next time.” And before we know it, we’re stuck in a vicious cycle. But why do even let it get that far? There is spiritual warfare. God allows test to see what we will do. Sometimes we pass. Sometimes we don’t. And the enemy? He wants nothing more than to pull us away. Let’s be honest— time is running out. The stronger our faith becomes, the closer we grow to God — and the more the enemy will try to attack. That’s why we must stay rooted. Stay church. Stay in community. Church friends matter. Peace in the storm

 Life ….  It never seems to go as planned.  I’ve learned that especially recently. One moment everything feels okay-even good- and the next its like, “What in the world just happened?” So what’s the real question here? How do we find peace in the middle of the all this? 2 Timothy 1:7 say’s , “ For God hat not given us the sprit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of sound mind.”  Fear does not come from God. The enemy loves when we live in worry. He thrives when we are anxious and overwhelmed. But God gives us power when we feel weak. Love when we feel alone. And a sound mind when our thoughts are spiraling. When we hold onto worry, we’re giving the enemy room to grow louder. But when we bring our fears to God in prayer, something shifts. Peace doesn’t always remove the storm — but it anchors us in the middle of it. So why keep carrying what God is willing to take from us?
