                                          Psalm 51 - A prayer of Repentance                  

David asks God for mercy after realizing his sin. He understands that only God can truly cleanse and forgive him. You see everyone makes mistakes and falls into sin it’ our nature, but God is a merciful God when we sincerely repent. God cares more about a changed heart than outward appearance. Instead of hiding my sins or guilt, i should bring them honestly before God and ask Him to renew my soul. 


The verse for this series: Psalms 51:10 (KJV)  

Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

Trauma? We always talk about Trauma. But have actually and I mean actually gone through Trauma ? I mean Jesus literally had 9 inch nails in his hands and feet he was whipped he’s flesh peeling from his body he went through it all and for what?? Why does faith come to a dead end?

 Why does faith come to a dead end ? We all wonder why our faith sometimes fizzles out. But why do we let it happen? We go to church and feel that wonderful pull— the urge to as God to forgive us, to draw closer to Him. We attend regularly… and then one service, something comes up. We don’t go. Then it becomes,” I’ll go next time.” And before we know it, we’re stuck in a vicious cycle. But why do even let it get that far? There is spiritual warfare. God allows test to see what we will do. Sometimes we pass. Sometimes we don’t. And the enemy? He wants nothing more than to pull us away. Let’s be honest— time is running out. The stronger our faith becomes, the closer we grow to God — and the more the enemy will try to attack. That’s why we must stay rooted. Stay church. Stay in community. Church friends matter. Spare tire or steering wheel?

Sometimes I wonder why we treat prayer like a spare tire. Something we keep tucked away… hidden… only pulled out when life breaks down on the side of the road. When tire blows. When the plans fall apart. When the weight becomes too heavy to carry alone. Only then does it seem like we reach for prayer. But prayer was never meant to sit in the trunk of our lives. Prayer is meant to be the steering wheel. Something we hold onto tightly everyday — letting God guide every turn, every road, and every mile of our journey. We hold our phones in our hands like it’s about to be taken. So why can’t we hold on to prayer like we hold our phones? 1 Thessalonians 5:17 [KJV]  “Pray without ceasing” Don’t treat prayer like a spare tire you can only reach for in emergencies. Hold onto it like a steering wheel. Let God guide the direction of your life, not just rescue you when the road breaks down.
